MuniApp: A Comprehensive Municipal Application for Guatemala

MuniApp is a free Android application developed by the Municipalidad de Guatemala. It falls under the category of Social & Communication and offers a wide range of features to the residents of Guatemala City.

With MuniApp, users can easily access various services and information provided by the Municipalidad de Guatemala. Some of the key features include checking EMETRA referrals, water consumption balance, IUSI balance, and validation of Electronic Ornato tickets using QR codes. Users can also stay updated with the Cultural Agenda, Twits from the Municipality, and locate MiniMunis and Auxiliary Mayors through the integrated Google Maps feature.

One unique feature of MuniApp is the ability to periodically send email reports of EMETRA referrals for one or more registered vehicles. Additionally, the application includes an animated banner on the home screen, which provides important information and reminders about events such as IUSI payments, Christmas activities, and races.

While MuniApp can be used on tablet devices, it is worth noting that the optimal display may not be guaranteed.

Please note that the developer is currently working on an update to address issues related to the Map feature for locating MiniMunis and Auxiliary Mayors, as well as the display of agenda photographs. These problems are specific to the new Android Marshmallow version due to the new permissions required by the operating system.
